1. Who is responsible for your data

Courseborn, trading as Ployspeaks, is the data controller for the personal data described in this policy.

We are based in the Netherlands and we follow the General Data Protection Regulation.

2. What data we collect

When you buy something. Your name, your email address, your country, and the details of your order. Payment details are handled by our payment provider and never reach our systems.

When you contact us. Your email address and whatever you choose to tell us in your message.

When you visit the website. Basic technical data such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you visit. This is standard server and analytics data.

We do not ask for and do not want any sensitive personal data.

3. Why we use it and on what basis

To deliver what you bought. Sending your download, confirming your order, and helping you if something goes wrong. Legal basis: performance of a contract.

To meet our legal obligations. Dutch tax law requires us to keep invoices and transaction records. Legal basis: legal obligation.

To send you email about the product, if you agreed to it. You can unsubscribe from any email with one click. Legal basis: consent.

To keep the website working and improve it. Legal basis: legitimate interest, balanced against your privacy.

We do not sell your data. We do not trade it. We do not use it for automated decision making or profiling.

4. Who we share it with

We share data only with the parties we need in order to run the business:

• Plug&Pay, which handles the checkout and order processing
• Mollie, which processes the payment itself
• Plug&Pay, which delivers your product and any email you signed up for
• TransIP, which hosts the website
• Lovable, which gives us anonymous visitor statistics
• Our accountant, for the financial administration we are legally required to keep

Each of these acts as a processor on our instructions, and we have the required agreements in place with them.

If any of these providers processes data outside the European Economic Area, that transfer is covered by the standard contractual clauses approved by the European Commission or an equivalent safeguard.

5. How long we keep it

Order and invoice data is kept for seven years, because Dutch tax law requires it.

Email addresses used for marketing are kept until you unsubscribe.

Support emails are kept for as long as needed to help you, and then removed.

Website statistics are kept for a limited period and are not linked to your identity.

6. Your rights

You have the right to ask us for a copy of the data we hold about you, to have it corrected, to have it deleted, to restrict how we use it, to receive it in a portable format, and to object to our use of it.

Where we rely on your consent, you can withdraw that consent at any time. Withdrawing it does not affect anything we did before you withdrew it.

Send any of these requests to info@courseborn.com. We answer within one month.

If you think we are handling your data wrongly, you can complain to the Dutch data protection authority, the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens, at autoriteitpersoonsgegevens.nl. If you live elsewhere in the European Union, you can complain to your own national authority.

7. Cookies

We use functional cookies that are needed for the website and the checkout to work.

8. Security

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data, and we work only with providers who do the same.

No system is perfect. If a data breach occurs that is likely to affect your rights, we will inform you and the supervisory authority as the law requires.

9. Children

Our product is aimed at adults. We do not knowingly collect data from children under sixteen. If you believe a child has given us data, contact us and we will remove it.

10. Changes

We may update this policy. The current version is always the one published on this page, with the date of the last update at the top.
